Artist's Statement
My career as a potter has allowed me to: -present my work for sale primarily to those who will use it. Joining a farmer’s market many years ago provided a lovely way to be part of a community serving basic needs in a natural setting. Establishing, some 30 years ago, an annual Open House at my home, where I could present my work and that of other artists as we wished it to be seen has been likewise rewarding. I maintain a showroom that is open when I am here. Several galleries carry my work.and I enjoy the interaction with those who do this important work. -share with others my love of clay, mostly working from my own studio. I am inspired by the enthusiasm of both young and old. A succession of apprentices has also enriched my life with their promise as it unfolds. The clay and art communities, and connections with friends and family, sustain me. Complete Resumé© 2006 Kit Cornell Pottery, all rights reserved. |
